DFWOMS was founded by Dr. Pedro F. Franco, a Colombian-trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon who completed advanced fellowship training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas before building one of the most comprehensive oral surgery practices in North Texas.

Today, DFWOMS operates three surgical offices across the DFW Metroplex and is led by three board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons — Pedro Franco, DDS; Taylor Jung, DDS, MD; and Ahmed Zaidi, DMD. All three hold Diplomate status from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the highest credential in the specialty.

Our practice treats patients ranging from routine extractions to complex reconstructive cases, hospital surgeries, and advanced implant rehabilitation. We see patients of all ages, accept Medicaid, and have bilingual staff at every location.

Voluntary accreditation

Held to the same safety and quality standards as accredited hospitals.

Joint Commission accreditation is a voluntary process — we pursue it because our patients deserve care held to the highest verifiable standard. On-site facility surveys every three years.

Technology & innovation

Modern surgical tools
that benefit the patient.

Across all three offices we invest in imaging, planning, and anesthesia technology that improves diagnostic accuracy, shortens recovery, and makes complex care safer and more predictable.

3D Imaging

CBCT scanning

Cone-beam CT delivers precise 3D anatomy of bone, nerves, and sinuses — essential for safe implant placement and complex extractions.

Digital workflow

Intraoral scanners

No more goopy impressions. Digital scans capture the mouth in minutes — more comfortable for the patient, more accurate for the surgeon.

Implant planning

Guided surgery

CBCT data combined with custom surgical guides means implants are placed with millimeter precision — predictable results, fewer surprises.

Modern anesthesia

Non-opioid protocols

Advanced non-narcotic pain management across every procedure and every location — safer recovery, no exceptions, no compromises.

Comfort & safety

IV sedation

In-office IV sedation administered by a board-certified surgeon trained in advanced anesthesia — for anxious patients and complex cases alike.

Patient safety

Real-time monitoring

Hospital-grade monitoring of vitals throughout every sedation case — meeting the Joint Commission standards we're accredited under.

Workflow

Digital records

Secure digital charting and post-op reporting — fast handoffs back to your referring dentist and clean continuity of care.

Infection control

Sterilization standards

JCAHO-audited sterilization and infection-control protocols at all three locations — the same standard applied to accredited hospitals.

Our team

A surgical team certified at every step.

Certified surgical technicians, coordinators, and bilingual patient care specialists.

DFWOMS is staffed by a team of certified surgical professionals across all three offices. Every patient interaction — from the first phone call to post-operative follow-up — is handled by trained, credentialed staff who speak both English and Spanish.
